I have had the pleasure of working on some projects with Christa at The Mary Webb Centre since 2013 where her passion for the arts and teaching has been inspiring for me to witness.

A little bit about Christa Eggers

Painting, drawing in any medium has been my love and often my escape, for most of my life.

Subject matter can be anything that catches my imagination, whether old trees, beautiful flowers, or familiar places.

Portraits in soft pastel are a wonderful way to connect with people, children and animals. I feel like I get to ‘know’ them while painting their image.

I started exhibiting my art and teaching painting workshops at the Southampton Art School and Gallery over 20 years ago, and taught many painting workshops for Art groups all over Ontario.

I discovered that sharing what I have learned and inspiring others to create is especially rewarding.

For 10 years now I have been teaching art classes at the Mary Webb Centre in Highgate, and co-ordinate an on-going ‘Open Studio’ group where all can come and paint together,inside in the winter and various gardens, parks, etc. in the summer.

The Art Gallery downstairs in the Mary Webb Centre is home to many artists and crafters for this area to display and sell their work.

My paintings are also hanging this wonderful art space.

I am the volunteer co-ordinator for the gallery, and invite you to contact me to add your work, join us for Open Studio, or take an art class.
