The Art and heirloom Shoppe is a unique art gallery found in the downtown core of Chatham, Ontario. Located at 137 King St W, it is conveniently located near other locally owned businesses. Its purpose is to bring the best of the art of southwestern Ontario to Chatham-Kent.

Believed to be the largest privately owned gallery between Windsor and London, the shoppe is home to over 55 artists. For a reasonable fee, the artists get to display and sell their work here, and to be part of a monthly on-line auction each month. The shoppe is always manned by an artist. It is a non-profit organization that helps out with many community fundraising initiatives, whether it be donating money or art.

In addition to the huge variety of art displayed on the walls, the shoppe also has sculpture, jewellery, woodworking, pottery and most appealing, antiques, the heirloom part of the name. There is an interesting array of vintage pieces ranging from furniture to china and glass. You are sure to find something nostalgic that will delight you!

The shoppe enjoys being part of the community and as such has played a significant role in events such as Crow Fest. They also participate in functions put on by the town and local BIA. The shoppe makes the downtown more beautiful with its themed window displays of art and ‘heirlooms’. Stop by Wednesday to Saturday between 11-4 pm. Remember, the Art and Heirloom Shoppe is the place with the stunning chandeliers!

In April of 2023, with many helping hands, I opened The Studio Art Gallery to invest in our community and cultivate arts experiences for all people to engage with.

The Studio Art Gallery is a new art gallery in the heart of Dresden, Ontario, a small and inviting community. I am dedicated to supporting and promoting local artists and providing an opportunity to showcase their work in a welcoming space. My mission is to engage community audiences, connect artists with collectors, promote creativity and learning and to inspire passion and appreciation for arts and culture. I am passionate about promoting art and community events and supporting arts and cultural activities in our broader community of Chatham-Kent.The response to this new arts experience in our small but vibrant community has been overwhelming and to date I have welcomed 19 remarkable artists to The Studio Art Gallery, each with their own unique style.
